Rural Development Centre (RDC) at IITH is a committed to the upliftment of the nearby villages and rural areas through technological intervention as we believe in inclusive growth.
IITH has been an active participant of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), an initiative as a result of which 7 villages have been adopted by IITH nearby namely Salabatpur, Mohmmad Nagar, Antharam, Bujarampet, Kan-Navram, Kandi and Mamidipally (From Sangareddy and Medak District in Telangana). We would certainly wish to expand the list.
As a part of routine activities IITH extends support to these places on the key areas:
1. Education and its awareness
2. Sanitation
3. Health and hygiene
4. Employment generation and skilling
5. Clean water
6. Women empowerment.
We propose to extend our support in a consolidated and integrated way through the funds raised through this campaign. This will include purchase of equipment, manpower, maintenance, awareness and skilling programs.

Benefit to the Donors:
US based alumni will be able to contribute and get 100 % tax benefits for their donations as IIT H foundation in the US is a US 501 ( c ) 3 charitable organisation.
Also, IITH US foundation is registered with Benevity to receive matching donations from employers.
All contributions to IIT Hyderabad are eligible for 80 G tax benefits to the donors.
