Description:

Sports is an excellent way to keep oneself fit physically and mentally. Also sports plays an important role in character building of an individual.

IIT Hyderabad proposes to establish world-class sports infrastructure on the campus for the physical and mental well-being of the students. The concerned sports facility (auditorium/courts) to support sports activities on campus will be endowed with an initial corpus of Rs. 2-5 Cr ($ 280,000 - $ 700,000). The facility will be named by IITH in consultation with the Donor. All endowments are subject to top-up as necessitated by economic conditions.

Selection criteria:

The organization/ individual who intends to fund the infrastructure will have stature and standing that align with the values of the institution.

Naming the infrastructure by the donor:

1. Donors can name the facility as per their wish.
2. The donor shall ensure that the proposed name is enhancing the reputation of the institute.
3. The endowment amount required for the naming of the scheme is Rs. 2-5 Cr ($ 280,000 - $ 700,000).
4. The returns of the endowment are subject to varying yields over time. Hence, IITH may reach out to the donor for a suitable top-up at a future date if the need arises.
5. The returns arising out of the endowment will be utilized for maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
6. Periodic updates on the fund utilization (if applicable) can be possible based on mutual conveniences.

Validity of the naming right:

The naming right will be for a period of 10 years' subject to extension on additional top-up contributions to sustain the infrastructure. This will be based on mutual agreements.
