IIT Hyderabad holds a significant position in the hearts and lives of its alumni, often regarded as the institution that empowers its students to achieve remarkable success. In a sincere effort to express their gratitude to their cherished alma mater, the graduates of 2014, along with their peers, have committed to supporting the institute's infrastructural advancement.

The 2014 batch of IIT Hyderabad, is all set to celebrate their 10th-year reunion in December 2024 during the Annual Alumni Day. As a tribute to their cherished institution and as an expression of gratitude, the batch aims to leave behind a legacy that will benefit the next generation of students.

The proposed infrastructure includes two components:

Public Relation Studio-Public relations serves as the vital interface between the institution and the public, facilitating communication and fostering relationships. It helps convey the institution's values, achievements, and initiatives.

IITH needs a PR studio to produce high-quality, professional content that effectively communicates the institution's message and engages its followers. The studio offers a controlled environment for creating multimedia materials that enhance brand consistency and visibility. It enables IITH to showcase research, achievements, connect with communities, and capture alumni stories and testimonials. Moreover, a dedicated studio ensures uniform branding across all communications, reinforcing the institution's identity and values on various platforms.  Funding required to set up a studio is Rs. 30 Lacs.

Radio Station Club-The radio station club at the institute serves as a significant platform that enhances various communication channels. This initiative offers numerous advantages, such as the opportunity to build connections between IITH alumni and the institution through fireside chats, foster talks, and podcasts. A well-established radio station can promote student engagement with the broader community. Funding required to set up a studio is Rs. 25 Lacs.

IIT Hyderabad will prioritize the establishment of the Public Relation Studio, subject to the funds raised, followed by the Radio Station Club. In recognition of the 2014 batch's generous contribution, the institute will acknowledge their support by appropriately naming the infrastructure through a dedicated plaque at a significant location on the campus.
